Welcome to our page! If you're wondering what the purpose of this organisation is, well simply put, it's for the students in the Bachelor's Programme in Science. Our main aim is to support your studies and well-being in relation to your studies, and we are based in the Kumpula campus. Our common meeting room is the International Hideout room on the first floor of Exactum C131 where you can chat with international students and grab a cup of coffee. We organise fun events and activities (check out our events page or social media!), but we also advocate for you in improving this program as a whole. We communicate with teachers and leaders in our program in order to make it the best it can be.
Most of our members are simply students in this program who wanted to unify BSc students and make our time at university more enjoyable. We also collaborate with other student organisations at Kumpula in creating events and organising activities, so you will be able to meet other students as well. We are quite new as an organisation, so we are looking for bright, exciting new ideas for activities, hangouts, etc. We'd love for you to join us!
If you're wondering what the overalls are you may see on campus or at events, in Finland university programs and student organisations have a tradition of having their own overalls to proudly show off your program and to gather badges from various events or achievements, or just for fun. We collaborated with various companies in scientific fields to sponsor our overalls. If you're interested in getting an overall, feel free to contact us!
If there's one piece of advice I can give you as a new university students, it's to take this day by day. Your life is changing drastically - you're more independent, you're at a new school and you may not know many people. There's a lot of new things coming at you and it may be stressful, but take it easy! University is a place where you can make unforgettable, fun memories while pursuing your degree, so don't waste your time on stressing about things that will sort themselves out. If you need advice or have questions, feel free to contact us and we can help you get the support you need.
